Hope one of the VM tech support folks can advise. One of my VM email addresses has been hacked and scam emails sent using it. As I no longer have control of that address can VM shut it down to prevent it's continued use and can they offer any advice as to how it got hacked.

Hello aerosteam,
Thanks for your post.
Sorry to hear about the issue with your email address being hacked.
When you mentioned you having no control over it are you referring to not being able to access it any more or have you now left Virgin Media.
If you have left us we can raise a request to get this email permanently deleted.
We also have a help page here for advice on hacked accounts, please let us know how you get on.

Hi Gareth_L
Thank you for your response. I have no control over the account the scammer is aware that it is a live account and has retained control, So yes if VM is able to permanently delete this account please do so.
As it happens I have arranged to leave VM on the 24 October but this was decided on before the hack. The advice about hacked accounts only works if you have control over the account which I don't.
