I used to be a VM customer (maybe about 20 years ago!), and when I closed my account I set up email forwarding to 'catch' any emails that were still being sent to my VM email account. After some time I tried to close down the email account, but couldn't find any way to do it, so left things as they were and eventually heard nothing for years. Fast forward to now and it looks like my old VM email account has been hacked as I've been receiving forwarded email messages telling me someone is trying to set up new Instagram / Uber etc. accounts using that email as well as notifications that spam emails sent from the VM address were undeliverable.
I can't find any way to delete the email account and have tried logging in to it (still have my old credentials) but can't log in.
How can I delete this old VM email account?
