I reported to July that My virgin.net email account has been hacked and I had no choice but deleting the account on 4th July 2024.
I have just noticed that you have help & support pages for email security which I was not informed on 4th July 2024.
Isn't it possible for you to recover the address I had
I used the account February 2004 to July 2024 and had important information/documents were saved in Inbox,
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thank you,
Haruko Tanaka

I am not a member if Virgin Media staff but here's what I do know:
1) It depends what you mean by "deleted" and how that deletion was done. However if your virgin.net email account was actually deleted a few months ago then there is no way VM or anyone else can recover it.
2) Sadly you have picked a bad moment to ask for this account to be recovered.
In the last few weeks VM have initiated a program of deleting all VM email accounts (including virgin.net accounts) that are not linked to a live VM media broadband account. Lots of people have received an email from VM saying that their email account will be closed in 30 days. You can check the extent of that yourself by looking through the many posts on this forum with titles such as "VM cancelling my email account", "Closure of virgin.net" and many similar.titles. It is a red hot topic at the moment.
Basically, unless you have a live VM broadband account you have zero chance of recovering this virgin.net account.
It seems that some people whose virgin.net email account has been flagged for deletion will be able to keep their email account but not everyonel.
It all depends on the details of the broadband account that the virgin.net email account was originally linked to. Of course many virgin.net email accounts were originally dial up accounts and so they have never been linked to a broadband account.
One of the Forum Team (VM employees) will contact you via this forum thread in the next few days and they will be able to give you the official position.
However, the key message is that unless you have a live VM broadband account you are not going to be able to recover your old emails. Even if you are a paying VM broadband customer it's still by no means certain.

Hi there @Jeremy37
Thank you so much for your post and welcome to the community forums, it's great to have you here.
I am so sorry to hear that you have faced this issue with your email and a big thank you to coenoby for their help and advise here so far.
Can I just check, was a ticket raised for this email to be deleted with our second level IT teams? Can I also just confirm was this a former account, and do you have current and active services with us?
