Forwarding Phishing Emails to phishing@virginmedia.com

Why am I getting "Not read: [External] [Warning may contain malicious URLs]" from phishing@virginmediao2.co.uk when I forward phishing emails to phishing@virginmedia.com?

But If I use the netReport Hub I get "PLEASE READ: Helpful information about your report to Virgin Media Internet Security, ref:######" from noreply@virginmedia.invalid?

Is there a problem with phishing@virginmedia.com?

Thanks.

I think you will find that once a spam item has been reported once it is the blocked so when someone else reports the same item they would hit the block.

Hi John, I posted my question after fully reading the requirements on reporting spam..

"If you have received a phishing email purporting to be from Virgin Media, please forward it to phishing@virginmedia.com. If you receive a ‘Spam Content Found’ error when forwarding a suspected phishing email to us via Webmail, then we are already aware of the email and have taken steps to ensure the email is blocked on our platform."

I don't get a "Spam Content Found" message.

Via Netreport I get a Security reference number reply.

But, forwarding to phishing@virginmedia.com as stated, I get "Not read: [External] [Warning may contain malicious URLs]" as a reply from address  phishing@virginmediao2.co.uk .

I am only following the instructions I am given from Virginmedia, as stated on the page you linked for me to follow.

Regards,

Raj.

Thanks Tudor, But I can report the same phishing email after getting the "not read" message via the "netreport" page and get a successful security report ref no.
