I now have a system generated password to use with MS Outlook. Should the password registered for e-mail in my Virgin media account be the same system generated app password to enable MS Outlook to connect to virgin?

@CSSK Each VM email address now potentially has two username/password combinations.

For email client/app access you need to use the original email address as the username and the generated app password.

For My VM and VM webmail access you use the third party email username together with the normal My VM password.

Hi so if I am concerned about security I can change the V Media email password if I'm using email via V Media and it won't impact the log in for MS Outlook for my email as it is using the app generated password?

Yes CSSK that is correct, you can change the Virgin media webmail password and this will not affect the password that is used for 3rd party apps such as Outlook.

Kind Regards,
