Hi all,
I had an email from virginmedia, some time ago parents decided to switch away from virgin into another broadband provided and as such from googling my understanding the email was deactivated.
What can be done? I am not really bothered about emails that were stored there but more bothered about accounts on other websites that were using this email and on some its not possible to change the email address without veryfing the old email which i no longer have acces to.

Vm quote deletion after 90 days. However if your parents can remember their login details, there is a very small chance it might be there. However don't get your hopes up.

I do have other emails but some legacy systems were using the virginmedia email. For me to change that the system would sent verification email to the old virginmedia email. Once verification is passed i can change the email on the system to the new one. This is where i am stuck

Hi Sev1 👋 Welcome to the community forum! Thanks for posting.
Sorry to hear about the concerns regarding the email account.
Email addresses should be automatically deleted after 90 days when no longer linked with an active services account (or sometimes known as a 'parent' account). They need to also be linked to a working My VM account in order to access.
You can find more information on managing email accounts here 👉 https://www.virginmedia.com/help/broadband/manage-email-account
We can help get the account locked or deleted for you, but sadly if it's no longer linked to an active service account its highly unlikely we can help re-gain access.
Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we will do our best to help. Wishing you all the best! 🌞

Yes, my old NTL mailbox was active for some time as well, but it was being filled with spam. I eventually asked VM to delete them all as I never used them. I had migrated off VM(NTL) mail a long time ago.
The Corporate line is still delete after 90 days.
