Cant change my email password

I need to change my email password, yet it keeps going on a merry go round keeps saying verify your identity and asking for my email address again and again.

Is my VM passport the same as my email login?

Thanks for your message.

I used the VM password generator so it's very unlikely they will be able to break it.  I've not had any extortion emails since.
