Blueyonder email password change

I have a very very old Blueyonder email account for which I do not know the password. I also have a Virgin Account for TV/Broadband etc. that was set up much more recently under a different email address, so the two are not linked in anyway. 

My Blueyonder email has been compromised, and so I need to change the password. However when trying to use My Virgin Media log in page, and selecting 'forgot my password', it does not even recognise the email address. Speaking to VM got me nowhere - can anyone help?

Welcome to the community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your former email account. 

Did you leave Virgin Media and the account that the email address was created against? If so, your email address may have been orphaned as it wasn't attached to any active Virgin Media broadband accounts. If this is the case we would only be able to arrange for the email address to be deleted, we wouldn't be able to reset the password for you or add the email address to your new account as the address would no longer be attached to any account.
