Unable to cancel Disney+

Hi - can someone please help. My virgin media Disney+ free trial is coming to an end at the end of the month and I want to cancel before I start getting charged.

I can't do this via Disney but when I try via my virgin media account (my account >>> entertainment services >>>click on manage disney+) the page flicks to manage disney+ for a fraction of a second before  flipping back - I can just about see a sentence about cancelling pop up before the page flips back to entertainment services.

Is there another way? Can someone do this for me? Or fix the glitch?

  • Further info: Have tried directly manipulating the url:
    [...]/my-virgin-media/package/manage-disney-plan

    It will not open this page... just reverts to [....]/manage-streaming-services

      Have you tried using a different browser, or a private/incognito window?

      Do you have pop ups enabled in your browser?

      Have you tried using the My Virgin Media app?

      You can also cancel Disney+ by calling 150for free from a VM landline, or by dialing  0345 454 1111 which is a free call included in most call plans, as it's the same as dialling an 01,02,or 03 number, however on some calls plans you need to redial after 1 hour to keep it as a free call.

  • Different browsers/ incognito windows/ using the app were all unsuccessful. I had to phone - this seems to have worked. 

  • Did you get this resolved? I have now spent two hours on the phone to virgin media who initially said they had cancelled it on their end but when I got a bill a month later that included Disney+ again as part of "entertainment services" and couldn't find how to cancel it on my end via app or web (and I did the same as you, went to that webpage and got the same info). They keep telling me that I have to cancel it on my end because I set it up on my end, but I didn't, it came as part of the sign-up deal... the only way to cancel it is to upgrade and pay £4 more a month?!!! It feels like a scam and they still haven't resolved it. Keen to hear if you got a solution 4 months ago... I will be raising a complaint, it shouldn't be this difficult and I shouldn't have to pay £9/month on top of my broadband for their system not working as it should.

      Sorry to hear you are having similair issues to the OP with your cancelling your Disney+ subscription now the free trial has ended. 

      If you are one of our Stream customers, you should be able to manage the subscriptions yourself. There's instructions on how to do this here 👉 https://www.virginmedia.com/help/tv/managing-subscriptions under the section titled 'Cancelling Disney+'.
