Thoughts on virgin stream thinking of ditching allot of streaming apps for it instead?

I got banned from the reddit virgin media form by weird moderatos for asking this seem they dont like any questions unless it suits them

Right now, I’m paying for Prime Video, NOW TV, Netflix, and Paramount+.
I was thinking about switching to Virgin Stream, but then I’d also have to pay for a TV licence. I’m not sure it’s worth it, since it would end up costing me around £30 a month minimum.

I’m trying to cut down on expenses, and while I’m already paying about that for streaming services, at least those are pay-as-you-go—so if I can’t afford one one month, I can just skip it without being locked into a contract.

Can you get stream on pay and go?
Its a shame they didnt do a stand alone app as I have apple tv through out the house great machines the 4k especially.

Subscribing to Flex does not automatically mean having to pay a TV licence unless you watch or record live TV or watch BBC iPlayer.

      According to https://www.virginmedia.com/legal/flex Section 5. Entertainment Subscripptions:  sub-section 5.5

Flex requires a valid TV licence in order to access, we recommend familiarising yourself with the TV licensing requirements and obtaining one if necessary. We will not continue to provide you with the Flex service if we find out that you do not have a valid television licence. More information is available at: Do I need a TV Licence? - TV Licensing ™

I yes I was well aware that I would need a TV License for it and would cover my self getting one. I was asking was peoples views on watching live tv and movies like old days better value for money than streaming apps. I think u miss understood me

Considering I said it right in this phrase

    Knows their stuff

What you are asking for is Stream Flex. It used to be free for all free to air channels + a few not offered on Freeview like Euronews. On top of this you were able to dip in and out of 30 day contracts for Sky entertainment channels, Sky Cinema, Sky Sports etc.

Then VM introduced a £5 per month charge for free to air channels BUT the subscription Sky channels and sports and movies are still 30 days and can be cancelled at any time.

Now, in a bid to replace TV360 via DVB-C (in HFC coax areas), VM have used the stream in bundle packages for new customers but these differ in that the package choice is fixed term for the contract e.g. 24 months.

So you could have added to your account the Stream Flex at minimum of £5 per month, but VM still insist on an activation charge which varies between £10 to £35 depending on the agent. It was quoted on this web site as £10, then a VM rep said it was £35 hence why I haven't signed up to it again when I re-joined VM. Their loss. I'm not sure how much longer this type of rolling 30 day will be around though in favour of fixed term TV contract lock-ins.

Only VM Ireland does an Apple TV 4K app.
