Thinking of getting a stream box

I have been wanted Ng to change the layout in my living room so am considering a stream box as I want to leave my router where it is.

I need to find out first though, do you still need a coaxial connection for the stream box or does it work solely from WiFi?

Also, what would you suggest as the lowest broadband speed to use this with?

Thanks for any help you can give.

  • The Stream box has no coaxial port and works only with a connection to the hub, best way is an Ethernet cable. Can you run this cable to where you want the box to be? Note that the Ethernet port is, oddly, incoorporated into the power plug and not the box.

A stream box will work perfectly well with whatever speed you are using now.

Why not just move the Hub to where you need it? VM will send you an extension cable free.

  • Hello dietibru

Thanks for posting to query the Stream box and it's set up and functionality, we appreciate you raising this via the forums.

As advised by Roger_Gooner, the Stream box doesn't connect via coax and works solely off of the hub. This can be connected via Wi-Fi or ethernet with ethernet being the best option for the fastest most stable connection.

More info on the Stream Box can be found here 😊
