Stream boxes suck

We now have a stream box… please please how do I connect this to a soundbar??? It’s only got one hdmi bit on the stream box. We use to have old equipment which was better with an optical cable but now they have took it away making it worse! We use a projector so we use the only hdmi cable bit to go to that directly. How do we get sound ?????
