Stream box not installing at all

I received my stream box today it doesn't seem to get passed the welcome screen instead it shows a tv box with a arrow above it going from black to white. Then it shows a error 1000-60 contact customer service. I have tried to reset it on the welcome screen for the past 2 hours I'm now beyond the point of being very frustrated and annoyed.  I checked on my virgin and after testing the signal it shows as a intermittent signal in my area  although the automated line tells you there are no issues atall.. How do I fix this

      Tried that, the lady wasn't that helpful just said she couldn't see any issues her end at the moment. And advised me to reset the box manually

        Are you using the Streams combined power and ethernet adapter plugged into the mains?  (a TV's USB port doesn't provide sufficient power)

        It's best to use a wired (ethernet) connection rather than wifi if possible. 

        If you can access the set top menus go to Settings > System > Reset>  and click on reset and follow the onscreen prompts.

        If you can't do the above then unplug the USB from the back of the Stream box and then hold the power button on the front of the box while  plugging the USB back in. (Keep hold of the power button while doing this)

        Keep holding the power button in when the Welcome screen (or download upload icon) appears for 5 seconds and then let go. 

        A menu will appear. Now tap the power button to select which reset option (hard or soft) you prefer. I would try the soft reset option first, and if that fails try the hard reset.

        Then hold the power button again for 5 seconds on the one selected option to reset it. 

  • I had my Stream box installed by VM and they installer had this issue too. It was just waiting to be 'provisioned' which can be done if you get the write member of staff helping you.
