Security message on apps via my tv cant access

Hi

Since early hours can't get into any of the apps on my tvs, BBC I player, amazon prime, u tube, getting a security message saying security error, the server could not prove its content, all ok on phones, tablets etc, anyone else had the same?

  • Same problem as everyone else. Security error apparently! Cannot get a reply on helpline saying they are too busy with messages! Try again later

    Just spoke to virgin, definitely a large fault said aiming for it to be fixed by 3

    This issue was raised as a fault ref: F011194787 but has now been fixed

      Well I have it now...so it is not fixed, and I can't find anyone who can resolve the issue or even let me know when...been 10 days now

    Their fix has failed - all my apps are down today with same security message . I’m in London SW11

  • I am having the same issue with BBC Iplayer, amazon and youtube.

      Hey ElizaEC,

      Sorry to hear you have been having this issue with your TV box, can you confirm if you are still having this issue or if this has since been fixed through?

  • I’m experiencing the same problem on Hitachi Tv. Every time I try to access itvx. 
    I’ve gone as far as completely resetting my tv to factory settings and starting as a new tv but exactly the same error/warning message. Only when accessing itvx! Can watch on my iPad without the error occurring! Error as seen in attached photo. 

    Assistance to resolve this issue would be appreciated.

      Hi Ivorbe 

      If the error was occuring on your VM Stream box due to a VM fault it would show the error message, 'the server could not prove that it is content.dtv.virginmedia.com' as shown in the screenshot below.  Why not try playing it from your VM set top box instead of the Hitachi TV?

      Have you tried updating the app on your Hitachi TV?

        Sorry you're having some issues with the apps on your TV, have you tried playing this through the Virgin set top box as newapollo has suggested?

        Is your TV connected to the hub via Ethernet or WiFi?
