Error code cs2511

Question

I’ve just started getting this error code cs2511 after months of no problem at all. It seems to be happening with the Sky Witness series on my Watchlist. It says Available and then you get the error code pop up. Then you are asked to Subscribe…. My wife is losing her cool

Hi everyone. 12 months in to an 18 month contract, nothing changed as far as I’m aware account wise. We are suddenly unable to watch any Sky Witness shows on demand. A particular disappointment to my wife as the only reason we switched from Sky to Virgin was because she could still watch Chicago PD/Fire/Med and various FBI shows.

This started around 15th Aug. Same on all shows,

This has been going on for about a week now. Virgin media engineer visited and isn’t sure what’s wrong but is speaking to his manager as this is the 3rd call he’s aware of with the same issue.

this is on a Stream box, but I don’t think that matters. We can watch Sky Witness HD ‘live’, if live is the right phrase when everything is streamed ;-)

Any ideas or inside knowledge on this?

Hi, we're having the same problem. Unable to play back any Sky Witness episodes of the Chicago Fire/Med/PD. The link to the troubleshooter gives some information but there is a problem with the link from that page if you require further help. The link doesn't work and displays an internal server error.

Hi GrayUK​&nbsp; and Mckeown55​&nbsp;You've both posted in the Stream forum regarding error CS2511.&nbsp; &nbsp;There's a different url for all Stream box error codes which brings up a pdf document.https://www.virginmedia.com/care/static/documents/Stream%20Error%20Codes.pdf&nbsp;I've copy pasted page containing the Stream CS2511 error code below.Error CS2511 can be caused by a temporary fault which can be checked using the&nbsp;/check-services/ function to check for problems in your area. You can also a run a test on your equipment from there.&nbsp; If nothing is showing&nbsp;&nbsp;you could also try the automated Service Status number&nbsp; 0800 561 0061.&nbsp; This often gives details of more local issues down to postcode level.With that particular fault try to play another channel and check if the problem also exists with other contents. If the problem only occurs when playing one channel, try playing the channel again later. It is possible that the error has been caused by a temporary service interruption. In rare cases, content may be lost. If the problem persists with the second content then if using an ethernet connection check that all cables are tightly connected to the box and hub.&nbsp; Restart your Stream box &nbsp;by carefully unplugging the power cord and plugging it back in after 30 seconds. Wait until the box has completely rebooted and then check if the problem has been solved.
