Error code cs2511

I’ve just started getting this error code cs2511 after months of no problem at all. It seems to be happening with the Sky Witness series on my Watchlist. It says Available and then you get the error code pop up. Then you are asked to Subscribe…. My wife is losing her cool

  • Hi everyone. 12 months in to an 18 month contract, nothing changed as far as I’m aware account wise. We are suddenly unable to watch any Sky Witness shows on demand. A particular disappointment to my wife as the only reason we switched from Sky to Virgin was because she could still watch Chicago PD/Fire/Med and various FBI shows. 

    This started around 15th Aug. Same on all shows, 

    This has been going on for about a week now. Virgin media engineer visited and isn’t sure what’s wrong but is speaking to his manager as this is the 3rd call he’s aware of with the same issue. 

    this is on a Stream box, but I don’t think that matters. We can watch Sky Witness HD ‘live’, if live is the right phrase when everything is streamed ;-)

    Any ideas or inside knowledge on this?

      The good news is that they have restored these on demand episodes to the standard Sky Witness channel - it now has 29 episodes available for Chicago Fire.

      It does leave the issue that they still show the episodes as available in higher quality whilst the stream box is unable to show those, but at least they have corrected the issue of not allowing stream box holders to view the episodes at all.

      It isn't solved for all content, there's certainly Sky Documentaries content where this still applies.
