What's going on with email accounts?

I couldn't log in yesterday, but that wasn't unexpected as I have only been able to access my emails once a day for a while.

This morning the log in page is entirely different and I have to set everything up again.  The problem is that the verifications aren't coming through.

Some prior notification would have been useful.  I'm at a loss what to do without the text or email verifications.

  • Glad I'm not the only one !! trying to log into emails on pc and same here get all the way through to sending a text and no text received luckily my email on my mobile is still working at the moment.

    please get this sorted Virgin !!

     

  • Same thing has happened to me. I am loathe to add a second email address as my husband has had to do this - he is the secondary account to mine - and he has constant problems access this dismal failure of an email service.

    Same here Colmax. Yesterday all well accessing via my mobile while travelling home. Totally different screen to login now. Need to access important emails & can't access account! Following instructions & still not receiving the OTP text after 4 attempts.

      Decided to try and ring VM customer service.  150 comes says 'it has not been possible to connect you'.  0345454111 just drops off (shows cannot connect).  What is going on VM?  So, wonder if anyone else has tried to ring for assistance?  Any Community Forum members available to help us customers?

        Hi Sue,

        Yes i did speak to an agent on Tuesday. After going through all the security questions he told me the situation will be fixed tomorrow.

        Needless to say I couldn't get through again and I still can't.

  • Yep, seems they have suddenly changed how accounts work, so I am unable to use my Sky Sports app on my ipad, or login on my pc or phone. Seems to be wanting to use oauth.virginmediao2.co.uk instead of the previous oauth.virginmedia.com. The sky sports app on my ipad was working fine yesterday so an overnight change?

      My Sky Sports was also working fine yesterday on the iPad/iPhone, golf, cricket, tennis etc, now today this ridiculous change to login. I do not have nor want another email address so please VM get this sorted asap.

    Now saying this virgin media email address is not valid.What is going on.I can connect via my phone and have logged in with the same details but not through my pc.Please get it sorted.

    Me to.Have to provide another different  email  address as security .Why? I do not want another email address I have enough problems  with the one I have!!!

      You will continue to have problems with VM email because it's been that way for years and will never get any better. 

      If you move to one of the standard email suppliers, it will take a little bit of work but then your email problems will all be over. 

      Then you can come back here and feel sorry for the people who are still struggling with VM email. 

  • Same problem here! Have been using the VM email account since joining 6 years ago and this morning a completely different screen forcing me to sign up to the O2 account. Cannot get beyond adding my mobile number for second verify - still no txt received despite three attempts!! What on earth is going on!!
