Virgin Email used for X

Question

Hi,&nbsp;I know this is a long shot but I really need help from Virgin Media who I have been a loyal customer since the start.&nbsp; My problem is I used a Virgin email address for my Artist Twitter account back in 2014 and didn't realise it until it was deleted a couple of months ago. Now because that email address was deleted I cannot regain access to my Artist Twitter account because X (Twitter) will now only let me back into my account if I receive a code to the now deleted Virgin Media email address.I have tried several time to recover the X account through X support but they wont help and refuse to deal with me in any other way except using that deleted Virgin Media email address.Please, is there any way I can recover that Virgin Media email address or get it reinstated?. I am willing to pay.&nbsp;

If your mailbox was deleted months ago it will very likely be long gone.

VM has been less than helpful in granting temporary access to deleted mailboxes, even when they are only recently deleted.

What happens if you send an email to the mailbox in question? Do you get a bounce-back message of 'undeliverable' or does the message appear to to through?

Its deleted because I deleted it, and its my fault for not checking all of my social media accounts didn't use the Virgin Media email.&nbsp; Most SC accounts had already been changed but my twitter artist account from 2014 had not.&nbsp;

We're sorry to hear you're having issues with recovering your X account. Once an email is deleted, we're not able to recover it I'm afraid as it's removed and deleted from the system.&nbsp;
We know this won't be the news you were hoping for, and wish you well with trying to recover the account with X.

Hi Kath_P,Thank you for the reply.&nbsp; As I said I am willing to pay a fee for just reinstating my email for a week so I can gain access to my 11 year old twitter account and change the email address. This will probably happen to a lot of people if they didn't check all their social media accounts. Also I cant seem to find the page at all that lists my VM emails, in my VM account. How do we change passwords on VM email accounts we still hold?I have had cable broadband since the 90's with Cable London, then all the other companies that have taken over. I think taking away the email service from an ISP is a big mistake. I just renewed my contract for another 24 months but haven't seen any reduction for loosing the email service. Loosing this service has meant we have had to change and check 30 or more online accounts that may have used VM email address like shops, supermarkets, Social media ect...&nbsp; I understand that if you leave VM you would loose your email accounts but we haven't left but now I loose not only the ability to recreate an email but also email addresses I have had for 20 years.

Seems strange that X cannot offer an alternative option.Create a new X account, and post your issue publicly there, and on all other social media.&nbsp; &nbsp;Maybe that will get their attention ?&nbsp; &nbsp;Maybe also copy &amp; post your issue on threads for various "high profile accounts"&nbsp; &nbsp;
