Thousands of e-mails disappeared

Three days ago loads of e-mails have disappeared on one of my VM email addresses.  They are generally only accessed via an iPhone but checked virgin email and same is there too.   Can anyone help please….

    Seems to be a common occurrence when using Apple devices when upgrades or other changes randomly delete emails.

    Unfortunately unless you have kept an offline backup of the missing emails they are likely to be gone for good.

      Thanks Graham… this is my daughter in laws account…. I have the same set up on mine and never had an issue in 20 years…. My other half had an issue once and then they re-appeared a week later. Am hoping the same may happen…

    Thanks for posting, and sorry to hear there are some issues with an email account.

    Can you confirm if the email address is still attached to an active Virgin broadband account?

        Thanks for the update on this. Are you able to access your emails that are missing on your iPhone on the Web Brower of your emails via the Virgin Media website?

    A couple of days ago I noticed two years - 2023  and 2024 xxx@virginmedia.com emails mysteriously vanished my my Outlook 365 desktop app and also My Virgin Media web. Checked folders - Trash, Deleted  and Archive - but of no avail. What I have left are some of my 2022 and 2021 and prior VM mails. I wouldn't have deleted all 2023 and 2024 without going through them one by one. So, what could have happened and where all the deleted mails gone ? It never happened before in before in almost 20 odd years. Contacted Virgin Indian support desk and they couldn't help saying what had been deleted couldn't be recovered.

Just to confirm, is there an auto-forwarding rule on your mailbox at all? Have you checked all folders in your mail box? Additionally, have you seen any suspicious activity in your mailbox at all?
