still locked out of email

i have been locked out of my email account for over a week now (although it did appear briefly for a day last week before disappearing again). I managed to reset it with a code last week but since Thursday it has been the same message "your username doesn't match your password" although it actually does because it was changed last week and hasn't been changed since, because duh, I can't change it without access to my email account and i dont have access to my email account, can you see the circles i'm currently going round in ? i was promised some help last week but this hasnt materialised. So VM, when am i going to be able to access my emails, and when i do can we make sure they remain accessible ???
