Secondary email account - no access

I am also experiencing this too. I was a secondary account on my husbands main account, I have created a VM02 account but still no access to my webmail. Just wants me to link to the main virgin media account but when we proceed with these steps it looks like it wants to transfer the ownership of the account to my ID, which we do not want to do (and even if we did there is still no guarantee I'd be able to access my emails). I spoke to someone yesterday and they said they would raise a ticket but I am not hopeful of hearing anything back given other peoples experiences with this same issue.

I do believe you can still access emails through some third parties, like gmail app for example but the trouble is I don't know my password and I can't get back in to reset it. I honestly don't think I've ever been more frustrated with a company than this. I can't quite believe I'm about to lose 15+ years of email history!!

Hopefully you won’t but no one should have 15 years of stuff in a mailbox without having a  backup.  I’ve seen many threads here with just this outcome and they have no backups.

Yeah I get you I just meant of accounts, services, subscriptions etc that I've signed up to with that email address over the years that I'll need to remember and change. Hopefully once/if I get back in, I can just set up a forwarding rule to my gmail.

        Hi emmacdoyle78,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐

We're sorry to hear you're having issues with accessing your secondary account. Each VM email address will need to have their own VM O2 ID. Once you've completed the link to your account, your emails should be accessible.

In order for you to use the email on an app or client, you'll need to generate an app password. You can do this by following these steps: Please log in to My Virgin Media here > Click on Account settings > Identity & Security Settings > Select Manage your products > Select Manage email app password > Click on the blue button 'Get New Password'.

        Many thanks,

I am using that URL, I can log in fine but only get to see ID setting and Security Settings, some FAQs and an option to sign out. Where the hell has my webmail gone!??!
