Removing additional account holders email

I received the email containing the following.

"We’ve identified you as being an additional My Virgin Media online account user. We’re letting you know that we’ll stop supporting your online account on 30/06/2025."

I am very confused by this. There is a different email account that is the 'main' login for My Virgin Media, but there are several other email addresses attached to the account, all of which are in use, one of which is the one the email was sent  to. The only difference between the one that received it and the others is that, owing to the complicated changes for accessing emails introduced by Virgin a while ago, the one that received it is accessed by logging into My Virgin Media with a non-virgin related account because I needed to change my password.

My question and concern is - am I losing the email account that  this message was sent  to or will it still exist and will I still be able to access it as I currently do, either direct via My Virgin Media (but logged in with the non-virgin related account) and via Outlook? It is my main email address that is affected!

(Is it me, or is it all too hard?)

I originally posted this under the 'email' heading, but having had no comments/responses at all, thought I would try here. I see this has happened to other people too, but don't quite understand the responses they got or what it means for me, so would be grateful for some help.

No it's not you it is just a very confusing email from VM.

In fact "an additional My Virgin Media online account" does not refer to a VM email account at all!

In this context it means an additional "My Virgin Media" account. Additional MVM accounts allow access to the VM  service status checker and VM's refer a friend process, which can now be accessed outside of MVM.

This first came up last year - here's a link to a forum thread on that

See the post (dated 22/11/2024) from Forum Team  (VM staff) Member Kath_P to confirm that.

A member of the Forum Team will be contacting you via this thread in the next day or so to clarify that for you.

Thank you. I am not terribly techie, but nor am I stupid and I find these things totally incomprehensible!

I am relieved to hear that nothing will change with my emails and will look forward to that being formally confirmed by a Forum Team member.

Cup of tea now, I think. I'll save you a biscuit 😀
