Reinstalling email on my iphone

I have been unable to access my emails for several days. Today I changed my password and eventually can access them on my laptop. But I still cannot on my iphone. When I try to install I get the message Cannot Get Mail No password provided for Virgin Media. Please go to Mail Account Settings and enter a password. I have tried generating an app password and entering that but it still doesn't work. Please help.

    We're sorry to hear that you're having trouble signing into your emails from your phone. Can you please let us know what client you're using? Is it iOS Mail? If so, I'd recommend to try removing your account from your phone settings and re adding it again. Please ensure to use the generated app password as you have been doing.

    If you're not sure how to remove the email account from the client/device, let us know what device you're using and what client e.g iOS Mail or Outlook. We'll then let you know the steps.

      Hi Beth

      I have no idea what the client is - it's whatever comes with an iphone. I have tried removing it and re-adding it. I have generated an app password. I am at a loss what to do next.

        Did you follow these steps to generate the password?
         

        • Sign in to My Virgin Media
        • Go to Account settings, then Account details
        • Tap Manage next to Manage your Virgin Media Mail app password under Virgin Media Mail
        • Then, under Virgin Media Mail app password tap Get password
        • Continue the flow and a new secure password will be generated, and the mailbox unlocked
        • Update any third-party apps that may be use to access your Virgin Media Mail emails with this new app password. 

        Does the updated password allow access via our site?
