I note that you say "the account is no longer active" which possibly suggests that you may no longer be a VM broadband customer. That's not a problem.
In that case, one of the Forum Team (VM staff who support this forum) can arrange to get the email account deleted for you. One of the team will contact you via this forum thread in the next day or so.
If the affected email account is still linked to a live broadband account and is not the Primary email account then it can be deleted without any intervention from VM.
Sign into the My Virgin Media account where you view the VM bills and go to Account settings, then Account details. Scroll down that page and click on Manage other Virgin Media accounts and you should see the relevant account listed. Click on Delete to the right of the address and it will be gone for good.
The only situation where an email account cannot be deleted is where the email address is the Primary account of the broadband account.
By that I mean the one that was used to set up the main "My Virgin Media" account which holds all your broadband account details and bills. Primary email accounts cannot be deleted because the design of VM's system means that address is inextricably linked to the VM broadband account.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
I am no longer a virgin broadband customer, I cancelled the account in 2022 and the email address was supposed to be cancelled 90 days after but it is still active but I have no account to log into to cancel it.
hopefully someone from virgin will be in touch soon to help me.
