One touch swop OTS

I’m looking to leave Virgin after 30+ years and wondered if any members have knowledge of the OTS process for changing provider.

My contract runs out 16 August so if I get a new provider to notify Virgin via OTS of notice to leave on 16th July , 31 days before eoc does that run as smoothly as suggested so that I avoid Virgin trying to charge me early disconnection etc.

Any advice appreciated.

    On our wavelength

I have been unable to access my emails for more than 24 hours now. Customer service are useless and unable to help and seem more interested in selling me more services. At the moment I am uot of contract and subscribe to a package (broadband, TV and house phone). Is it possible to cancel my broadband contract with VM while still retaining TV and house phone. Perhaps someone can advise.

No, both the TV and phone are delivered over the VM Broadband.   Are there no other ISP's in your area that can supply what you need?

  • After all the stupidity of the last few days I'm not surprised people are wanting to leave VirginMedia/O2 - unannounced account changes, a new 'VMO2 ID' system with a really poor forced 2FA implmentation, unable to send or recieve emails on iphone or ipad despite entering my new 4-word password (that I had to generate to get Outlook working again...)

  • Hi DaveS33 👋.

Thanks for reaching out to us, sorry to hear that you are thinking of leaving us. If you choose OTS or to notify us yourself, we require 30 days notice period, so if your contract ends on the 16th of July your notice period will be advising us on the15th June to avoid any Early Termination Fees along with being charged at a non discount rate.

should you notify us earlier than the end of your contract date, so your contract ends on 16th July but you want to leave on the 10th July, you will be charged an Early Termination Fee.

I hope this helps and should you have any further questions please reach out.
