Lost email password

Hi guys. I have a ntlworld account that has been running for years. During that time I have left and then rejoined virgin. The email address continued and continues to work. However, now I need to transfer the account to a new outlook . I can’t do this without the password which I can’t remember.  The reset my password takes me to reset the password for my primary linked email, which is different. Can anyone assist please?

I still have access to the ntlworld account at the moment.

    It sounds like your email is still connected to the old broadband account. You need VM to move it to the new account, or it could be closed.
