I've lost access to my virgin.net email this morning. I just keep getting the error message "unable to verify account name or password" I need the email address as I use it for all my freelance work. Does anyone know how we contact tech support to get help?
I have virgin TV and broadband so it's very frustrating.
marcus5 Can you access your virgin.net emails through VM webmail at mail.virginmedia.com
This will tell you whether the account itself is the problem or whether it is the email client settings that are the issue.
It you want to call the VM help line the number is 0345 454 1111 or 150 from a vm landline.
@Graham_A No I can't access it that way either. In November 4 years ago they shut it down and I was able to get advice on here as to who to contact and eventually got it up and running with the help of a forum team member.

marcus5 Have you previously changed the sign in username for the virgin.net email address to a third party email address? Are you sure that the email account concerned is correctly linked to your current VM broadband account? Many virgin.net email addresses date back to either the old dial up days or to the long discontinued virgin national broadband days (broadband over a phone line). As such many have become orphaned and are not linked to a current broadband account. If this is the case then VM may have deleted the account.
Edit: just seen your other response. If it was shut down four years ago but then temporarily restored for you it is very likely that it has finally been closed permanently.
Hopefully not. I stay with Virginmedia solely so that I keep my email address from being deleted. They use it to contact me and I would have switched a long time ago to a cheaper supplier.
