IMAP not working on partners emails

Hi need some help. My partners imap password isn't working so need to regenerate one for him. His email was set up many years ago and he doesn't have a virgin account the account is in my name. Is there a way to get this generated without him having his own virgin media account?

  • Sorted the issue out virgin media had to get him to link my account with his own VM02 ID took them over an hour to get this done but it's all working now

  • But he doesn't have an account with vm!! Is it just a case of registering him for a VM02 ID

      Technically he does have a VM account - his email account that you originally setup as an additional email on your account.  Go to the webmail sign in page at mail.virginmedia.com and sign in with his email address and password.  This should lead you through the steps to update the sign in details to a VMO2ID.  Don't be tempted to use a different email address to setup the account with as this will not connect to the correct email account.

        It won't let me do this when I go to put his email and password in it says not valid
