I need access to my deceased fathers email

Hi guys,

My father passed away a few years ago. Recently i have been back through his things and found some bits and pieces. It appears i need to get access to his email if at all possible. 

Theres a few few things locked to his email and i can't reset them without the email address working. I have all relevant documentation like a death certificate etc. 

Is this possible to get access to his email? i think it's still working or at least receiving emails, if access isn't possible is an auto forward?

    Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. Condolences firstly from all at Virgin Media.

     

    I am sorry but we'd be unable to get access to this mail for you, even temporarily. 

    As a work around, I would potentially suggest speaking to the companies / people you need to speak too, who have the email logged with them, explain what you've told us and provide any proof needed etc, they maybe able to let you access the stuff a different way?

      Thanks for the reply.

      The specific issue i need help with is: My fathers ipad is locked to his email, which is a virgin email address. Apple will not give me any sort of access their end without a court order. If there is nothing else you can do for me here, i'll have to do that next
