How to access ntlworld emails

I am the VM account holder for our house, and I can access my old ntlworld emails via the VM-O2 portal. I went through the process of moving to the combined VM-O2 login a while back.

Until recently, my wife was able to access her ntlworld emails using the VM webmail portal, but now she is being asked for her VM-O2 password - which she doesn’t have.

She can’t register for a VM-O2 ID because she’s not the VM account holder

How can we sort this out?

    Each VM email address will have a VMO2ID.  It doesn't matter that your wife is not the broadband account holder.  In this instance the Ntlworld email address is the VM account.

    Welcome to the Community, and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that are being experienced by your wife. A VMO2 ID is needed to access any email accounts associated with the main account. Please could you advise your wife to create a VMO2 ID for her email and that shou;pd resolve the issues that she's experiencing.

      I'm replying here as I have no way of creating a new post - today my Virgin Media Mail Inbox was locked requiring me to log in with my Virgin Media 02 password - this was not accepted. I then tried forgotton my password and after much effort it finally opened up without changing my password but with an old obsolete blueyonder account. This last happened in July when it took over three months before a Virgin IT expert addressed my by then numerous complaints and rectified the matter in a couple of minutes. How do I get to an expert without having to write numerous complaints?

    Also having issues - can't access my VM ntl email - been on the phone to VM for an hour - on hold at the moment as they continue to check something.  I've had no access to email for 2 days now.  THis has happened before and usually it just comes back on a few days later.  They are currently unable to resolve this and have taken me through various options - but nothing has worked.

      Are you using Webmail or an email client, as they have different access methods.

  • Also having issues. I have had an ntlworld email address for over 20 years and am a current VM customer, and although I can log into My Virgin Media using a VMO2 id whenever I try to access mail.virginmedia.com I get a 404 not found error "Invalid credentials". There's also no option to manage email app password under account settings > Identity & Security Settings > Manage your products so I'm at a loss as to how to resolve this...
