Hacked Email

Hi my husbands email , linked to my VM email account has been hacked and he can nolonger change his password , he is being inundated with emails and 2 of his accounts (social media) have been hacked too , weve acessed all other accounts that he used and changed sign in details etc but cant change email sign in or password can someone please help

    Is he getting any error when trying to reset the details?

    He can't access his email account at all and it is no longer showing on my account it's been deleted apparently ? It is my account and his email was linked to the account , someone is still trying to access it regularly as I am getting notifications  . I also reported a phising email he received before he got locked out of his account
