Outlook is an email app/client so you do need to generate a VM email app/client password to use with it.

  • I looked in my vm account, don't see where for the password, only my package

So when you check in My VM for the mailbox in question, using the info below, posted earlier

blueyond virginmedia email problems | Virgin Media Community - 5667866

you don't get to see the option to manage app passwords?

(Some have reported that they do not get to see this feature, which a problem with VM's customer web page).

If you don't have the app password option, you will need to wait for a VM forum person to reply here.

  • Hi there, wasn't getting anything at first I followed it all, got a password. So when I I add new email with pop3 & smtp with blueyonder.

I use that password instead of my normal one

You use your Blueyonder email address and the app password to set up Outlook.

The server settings are the ones posted earlier, if you are manually setting them in Outlook.

  • Got test email through, but my post file it not seeing, I just copied it like I done many times before, that has all my emails what I want more,, it has lot off Dr and hospital emails for my son, plus all the other

  • Gone back to an old office version, given up with 2024, got them working in it

      Hi andy1494

      Please try this;

Sign into the My Virgin media account for the email concerned with your VMO2ID
      Select Account Settings
      Select Identity & Security Settings
      Select Manage your products
      Select Manage email app password
Click on the blue button 'Get New Password'
Make a note of the generated password. This is what you use in the mail apps along with the Virgin Media email address as the username.
