Change Email?

Outlook has recently updated to a new version but hasn't pulled all my old account details across.  I'm trying to update the accounts (I have multiple Blueyonder email addresses) but it's telling me there is a problem when trying to add them.  When I try and log into my Virgin account to check my details, I'm being asked to change my email address to one that isn't VM, but when I do I get the following :

"You've recently requested to change the email address you use to sign in to My Virgin Media. Please check your emails and verify this change before making further account changes"

I haven't recently requested anything, and I haven't got any emails from you.  Things used to be so straightforward!

    Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums.

    We're sorry to hear you're having issues since a recent update done within Outlook. It's sounds as though you've not yet completed the multifactor authentication set up. This requires you to use a third party email address when signing in to My VM. Once this is done, you can then generate an app password to set up mails on a client, such as Outlook. 

    This is something we can certainly check for you but in order to do that I'll need to confirm some information with you to pass security. 

    I've sent you a direct message to allow us to do this with you in a private space. If you're using a PC/Laptop then you can just click on the little ✉ at the top right-hand side of the page to access your inbox. If you're on a mobile/tablet device then instead, click on the little circle icon in the top right then select 'Messages'. 😊
