Can't log into VM webmail.

Hi,

I can't log into one of my email addresses through VM webmail.

All I get is a message to say it's forbidden - see attached.

Oddly it seems to think it's written in Luxembourgish (who knew there was such a language).

  • Many issues occurring recently with VM webmail - i.e. can't access some email accounts passwords not correct etc. VM say they updated security/protection and to do a full virus scan but it seems more likely it's VM induced fault. Lots of threads on this.

  • Hi @PeterB sorry to jump on the bandwagon but I have been trying to access my emails for weeks.  Have posted here on forum but no help from Virgin and I am at the end of my tether with it.  I think the only way forward is to complain to Virgin as I am fed up not having access to my emails and not getting any help.  My issue is that my email address used is an old disconnected email address where I can longer access a change of password.  Good luck with accessing your account and post on here if you have any interesting responses that help.  I'll do the same.

  • Hi PeterB,

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome, sorry to see you are facing issues getting into one of your emails due to the forbidden message, have you ran a anti virus scan on all devices you use to access the email then change the password to something totally different to ones use previously then wait 15 minutes before trying again.

    Regards

    Paul.

Does issue persist when using your browser's Incognito window? If not then when it next occurs:

      • select the padlock icon shown in the address / location bar
      • look for an option to either clear / view cookies in the pop-up menu
      • then follow the process to remove the cookies shown for the site
