Like many, I just noticed that I am unable to add my old ntlworld email account or my newer virginmedia account onto Windows 11 Outlook.
No matter what I try I get blocked from adding the accounts.
Does this mean that they won't be able to be used on Windows 11.
This happened today ( 8th Nov 2025)
You will need to generate app password required for third party apps like outlook or thunderbird>
Follow below steps
Go on virginmedia.com from any browser
Click on my account on top right then
Click on sign in to my virginmedia
Enter your ntlworld email and click next
It will ask for a password ,if you don't know your password click 'verify another way'.
You will be sent a verification link on email address linked with ntlworld email.
Please keep this page open and verify the link you receive on email.
Once verified the page will sign you in and say 'Welcome back'
Click on 3 lines on top left corner
Click on account settings
Then ID & Security settings
On ID settings, click on Manage your products
It will send a link on email again, please verify that.
Click on manage your products again
Then click on manage email app password
Click on generate password
You will get a password, please update this on outlook
