Cannot view email attachments

I have just noticed that whenever i try to view an email attachment i.e a pdf the attachment a) fails to open, b) the screen goes black c) the program freezes and I have to log back in to virgin media web browser

The only way I can view attachments at the moment is to download them first and then view using adobe or similar

I noticed another post on here had the same problem - has this been resolved - is it a Virgin issue ?

    have the same problem i tried using a different browser and checked if my security was the issue made no difference my guess is its a virgin media issue

      Hi x15 - in that case its a pretty big issue if its down to Virgin - surprised there are not more posts if its a widespread problem - how do I escalate this to Virgin do you know ?

        As of yesterday i was able to view attachments just wondering if the same is true for the others on this page not forgetting that tomorrow is another day and give VM record anything could happen

  • I have had the same problem for at least a couple of days and it is still doing it today, good to hear it isn't just me but it is indeed a pain.

  • Contacted Virgin Live Chat who insist its a pdf reader problem and not a Virgin problem !! Despite having re installed adobe reader (twice) and my email attachment pdfs being read ok  using Adobe through Outlook or Mail ?

      It happens with other types of attachments as well as pdf so it can't be that.  The VM Forum Team have been alerted.

      Yes, this issue is still ongoing.  It occurs specifically on the VM Webmail platform.  The Virgin Media App does not have a facility for accessing VM email accounts so is not relevant to this fault.  There are no issues accessing attachments via third-party email applications.
