Cannot access emails

Have gone through the process to create the Virgin/O2 account and have received message saying that it is linked to my existing account but I cannot get into my emails and go back to the "loop" again.

Please advise.

  • Exactly the same thing for me. I have even tried to register for a new account and the ridiculous process is exactly the same as sign in.

    VM ARE AN ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES

I had been watching your question hoping you would get a response. Set up my own question when you didn't!

      We live in hope.

If Virgin are inundated with complaints, Why don't they put a statement on Virgin media explaining the situation and what they are doing about it?

I would start migrating my emails to Google but the first one I attempted, wanted to send a verification email to......blueyonder.

I may try getting emails diverted to googlemail as other posters have done but it's beyond my tech. abilities. Not my thing.

    Tuning in

Hi, I have the same issue since Monday 21st July. I am unable to access webmail on laptop since forced to login in and link account to VM O2 ID. All seemed to go smoothly after linking and verifying via 3rd party email however unable to log onto VM to manage account and keep going into loop when trying to log onto email via 'Sign into My VIrgin Media' and URL shows some error :

    https://www.virginmedia.com/myvmo2/home?error=server_error

    before being redirected to:

    https://www.virginmedia.com/myvmo2

I called customer service and told they see same error and will log a ticket and will try to address in 3-6 working days which seems ridiculous as agent said other customers were having a similar issue. I have tried to log in via Incognito web browser and another laptop so cannot be cookies or cache issue.

Any advise or help would be appreciated as like others this is my main email for majority of utilities and other important accounts and contacts. I have had my virgin.net since ntlworld managed them on their platform over 20+ years ?

I think that we, the users, know the answer by now.

Virginmedia messed up part of the program/system when they did the "switch".

They owe their users a massive apology/compensation for not giving their users any warning of any apology about the error and announcing what they are doing about it. Are they seriously going to tackle it client by client.Talk about a waste of resources.

Having sorted the VM / O2 security out, I  had the issue of getting into my emails on my phone / tablet's app.

I eventually worked out that you have to generate a password via :

    https://www.virginmediao2.co.uk/identity/security-settings

The generated password which will look like eg: tree-stop-risk-pill

it will last for 10 mins.

copy this password, along with the "-"s, into the app(s), it will only need to be done once.

Why VM can't tell us all this i dont know...!

      Up to speed

I have tried this several times. I can manage to log back in with a new password, but am still not receiving any emails.
