Access virgin.net email in order to transfer to gmail.com account/download copy of emails
Hi,
I've had a virgin.net email account for 20+ years and have received an email this week about the impending closure of my account. This is still my sole personal email so it it crucial I retain access to my emails.
I previously new my password for My Virgin Media, but since being forced to change my email from @virgin.net domain to @gmail.com domain, I can no longer access my account. As I also understand, even though the email is accessible through the My Virgin Media route, it does have its own password.....is this correct?
Trying the reset password option and using the @virgin.net domain results in the following message "Please ensure you provide the email address you use to sign in to My Virgin Media". I trust that is because I had successfully updated the registered email address to the @gmail.com domain one? I also used the verify email link sent to the @gmail.com domain email, and on a couple of occasions, I get a screen advising that it has sent an email to @gmail.com domain email to reset the password......but this never arrives after 12+hours. Other emails are being received OK.
NOTE : Trying the reset password option and using the @gmail.com domain results in the following message "Oops... Something went wrong. Please try again later.". Is my account perhaps just "locked" since changing the email?
Regardless, I would appreciate if you can PM me to assist in gaining access to my email in order to allow me to transfer data, prior to any email account closure.
Many Thanks in advance,
Dougie
