WHY VIRGIN ??

Ok ive been with vm since back when the wheel was invented , but it seems that after all these years they no longer care about there customers. Last friday i spoke to someone via the chat about HOPEFULLY reducing the price of my package , i only use broadband as i dont watch tv or have the use of a landline phone. So i asked for the 1gb bb with new hub as it was being offered to NEW CUSTOMERS  NOT LOYAL ONES for alot cheaper than most of us pay , plus after 18months it will still be cheaper than what i pay now.  My new monthly bill will be £65.48 from 30/04/2025 for M500 BB for gods sake , but still we get treated like you know what . It will be a shame to leave after near on 25 plus years , but they no longer want to budge on prices and NO OFFENCE virgin media i also hung up on 2 calls that went through to your call centres , how are we even meant to have a conversation when the language barrier is sometimes difficult to understand , also its that loud with all the other operators in the background that you cant bloody hear them anyway . Am i the only person getting treated like this ?

  • It was so difficult to understand with their accent, somewhere in philippines I think. The offer kept going up. She said the offer we give you changes every time you call or day by day. I have been with VM for 30 years and wanted to keep my phone number live, but what a bad experience.

You'd be paying exactly half what you have just quoted on BT (now called EE) full fibre. Many other providers are available over the same Openreach lines.

And on some of them you can ring up and talk to a human!

  • Does anyone have any feedback on BTs NEW fibre bb ? they have just layed it all out and i might give them a try , maybe they can do me a better deal.

VM's current strategy seems to be to play it tough on renegotiations in the hope that you will pay up and go away.

If you are not able to renegotiate the price/services you want, your only option to counter this is to leave.

Once you put in your cancellation you might get a call back from VM with a better offer but there is no guarantee this will happen.
