Sending out VM Bills on Christmas Day!

Hi, is it just me or does anyone else think sending bills out on Christmas day is bad form?

Perhaps I am old fashioned but I certainly think it is out of order, unnecessary and damn right disrespectful!

Seasons greetings to all.

  • Computers don't take holidays, religious or otherwise.

You also need to add a comment about AI to your signature, keep the paranoia levels high.

Funny enough I have no problem with AI.....as yet!

Computers can be programmed not to send out invoices on the 25th of December, it is not rocket science.

      Regards

    Hi Trevor,

I don't think it's bad form as it followed the usual automated billing cycle.  Check the actual billing date and see if it differs from the date you received the email (25th December)

I too received an email on 25th December regarding my latest VM bill.  The actual billing date on the email was 23rd December and the payment date is for 9th January.  The email is usually received on the same date as the actual billing date shown on the invoice so this one took a couple of days longer to arrive in my inbox than usual.

This billing email follows in line with previous bills which are usually issued on either the 21st or 23rd of the month.

  • Pretty bad customer service, but VM has the worst customer with which magazine this year and last year.

      Knows their stuff

That's Capita though, they process license fee collection as BBC does not do it directly. It outsourced it to an alleged body that would be efficient as 'private enterprise' I think a Tory government said at the time....
