I'm not one to get too excited by whatever my forum "rank" happens to be at any point in time but do notice that there is, AFAIK, no current guide to these ranks on here. I have found an archived...

It would appear that Georg Ohm (after whom the unit of electrical resistance is named) has been 'retired'*; but the highest level of achievement is now to be confused with Alessandro Volta (the inventor of the chemical battery; died 1827) and hence the number of people who have to state the fact that 'my name is NOT Alessandro, it's xyz' in their post footers. Personally, I'd be tempted to respond with 'Hello 'Joining In', interesting name but still, what you need to do is ......'
*Possibly with extreme prejudice!
