Anyone know at what point it’s safe to cancel the direct debit after leaving? I’ve had a final bill, which ended up with them owing me £18.
Do they refund that via my bank or still send out cheques? Got email saying they’ve received equipment back as well now.
From memory it seems to be by cheque within 45 days .....
By a lot of reports on the board VM seem to make a mess of people’s final bill. I think your best course of action is to wait for a few days after when you would expect the next bill and then cancel the Direct Debit. This should ensure you do not get a bad marker on your credits reports. If they do charge you in error, you can then investigate. As previously mentioned VM work in the dark ages and do not credit your bank account, but send out cheques for refunds.
