As a suggestion from Amazon a TP-Link AC1200 Wireless Dual Band Wi-Fi Router is under £40 this would give Wi-Fi and Network points.
Would I just plug in the ethernet cable from the VM box and job done?
Yep. We got this cute little one recently and just followed the instructions to set it up in "Access Point" mode. We used exterior grade Cat6a cable for the feed.
Provides full speed wifi - plus - 4 ethernet ports for best full speed connections to computers and gaming consoles - all for £35 👍

Hi John that’s great thank you
Neil
So you know what to expect ...
Visit the TP-LINK UK Website find a PDF copy of the manual for this type of device.
Have a look at how to configure it as an Access Point.
Configuring the Wi-Fi on the router in the set to have the same SSID and Password as the VM Hub may give you seamless coverage from the house to the shed, it also means all your devices will connect in the shed without needing any new Wi-Fi setting.
Connected without internet! What am I doing wrong?
Which item did you purchase?
Did you put it in access point mode?

Bought the above and have it in access point mode. Is it possible my cable isn't compatible?
I believe you must use the WAN port (Blue) when in access point mode for the connection to the HUB.
Cat 6 exterior cable from the Hub?
Yeah. 😞
Connect a laptop on the end of the network cable in the shed to verify that cable works.
