Wifi to garden room

Hi I have virgin volt account with 3 white wifi pods but despite that the network in garden room is bad. The straight line distance between the router and the garden room is around 18-20m but of course there are walls in between. I’m thinking about buying a wifi repeater. Will that help? Will that work alongside the virgin white pods or will replace them? Please suggest.
