WiFi on mobile is dreadful

The WiFi in my house appears to be working for everything but our mobile phones are only showing one bar and not responding at all. I have tried rebooting the box etc and running checks on the service but nothing is showing. This started yesterday.

  • So I reset everything including the phones but today my work laptop kept loosing connections as well so something was going on however touch wood at the moment things are working since the pin button reset. The one bar on the mobile has in the past still worked but when I had the issues I couldn’t open anything however as stated touch wood it’s currently working

There is nothing inherently wrong with "only one bar" on a mobile - it's still a bar. Not many people realise that one major factor in mobile data speeds, is the spectrum deployed. No bars measure this.

I only have one bar on my mobile currently, but am getting excellent service.

I have tried rebooting the box etc ... reboot your mobiles, that is where the problem lies.

What make and model of mobiles are you using ?  Are they iPhones by any chance?

What VM package are you on with what Hub model and have you tried testing the connection directly to the hub on an ethernet cable (adapters are available for any port the mobiles have)?
