What's going on with my ping?

Hi all. 

I have FTTP on the 500 Mbps package and it's going great, but I've noticed something weird with the minimum ping time. It seems to spike and then slowly reduce over a few hours before jumping up again. 

I've never seen this before. 

Any ideas?
