Still not cancelled old provider.

I was told the switch from my old broadband provider would be handled by virgin. This is not the case and I'm still receiving bills from my previous broadband company. Please can someone contact me to rectify this?

  • I switched through a rep who came to my door. It was broadband only.

      Hi steveCorner

Thanks for posting and welcome to both the community and indeed Virgin Media.

Sorry to hear of this dispute. I'll send you a PM now to assist further.

The actions (or, sometimes, non-actions) of VM field sales agents do get regular mentions on here. Often the promises made on the doorstep, and in the home, fail to turn into a reality. Not sure of the exact mechanism of how a sales rep would be able to initiate a cancellation of your existing broadband in that way.

Did you have to sign anything to authorise the cancellation of your existing service?

Did you get any paperwork/written details of everything this offer entailed (including the cancellation of your existing provider)?

You may possibly end up having to cancel the original provider yourself and try to claim back any excess charges from VM.

Wait for a VM person to get to your topic, usually within a few days, and see if they offer to provide any more info.

Did you use the One Touch Switch process?

What services did you have with your old provider that need to be cancelled?
