Solid red light on Super Hub 3

My Super Hub 3 has a constant red light, supposedly indicating overheating. However, it just feels slightly warm on top, as usual. I’ve tried powering it off for 15 minutes but it comes back red.

I watched the light during the startup and it never changed to any other colour, perhaps suggesting a fault with the LED.

But it still needs fixing as I wouldn’t know if it was really overheating in future.

  • If the red LED persists after a pinhole reset, the Hub should be swapped out. This red LED is the overheat warning and should be working correctly. If you wait here a couple of days a VM Mod should pick this up and discuss directly with you.

Thanks. I’ve now tried the factory reset too and it’s still the same. So I’ll wait for someone to get in touch.

Hi dhof thanks for posting although we're sorry to hear of your concerns raised here.

As you've tried rebooting and resetting, please allow me to send you a PM so we can look into replacing the Hub for you.

Expect the PM to arrive shortly and respond directly when you can!
        Many thanks

  • I have the same problem with HUB3. Resetting hasn’t helped and wifi behaviour erratic. Reading the above it looks like it should be replaced - how do I get that to happen please?

Erratic Wifi performance is not being caused by a red LED on a Hub 3.  However, note as above, if the red LED persists after a pinhole reset.
