Orange light on the hub.

For the last few months and particularly the last few weeks the internet keeps dropping out and the music being played goes on and off. I checked the hub just now and it’s a permanent orange. I then turned everything off and tried to reboot but the hub didn’t come on again at all so I unplugged and made sure all wires and cables were attached fully.  Running the virgin media diagnostics it said the hub was not connected properly when all I had done was turn plugs off, so I followed the instructions unplugged and plugged and then it said that it was experiencing intermittent problems with the hub. After an hour, I eventually managed to get the hub to come on and it went through a sequence and I saw green lights but then it went permanent orange again and the diagnostic said there was an intermittent issue. I've had this particular hub for probably about 10 years. Do you think a replacement is required?
