One question

So All my devices are still performing better on the hubs connection than the pods connection even though the pod is in my bedroom, will the pod improve or stay like that with slower speeds I thought it was supposed to improve the range and we have 1 gig!

Remember VM Pods or Wi-Fi Repeaters are designed to increase the coverage but this basic Wi-Fi solution
comes with a high cost i.e. speed is halved, latency and jitter are both increased.

Pods should be placed midway between the Hub and the room you wish to serve.

Placing VM Pods in a bedroom or in an office near the TV / laptop is a school boy error,
it causes an unneeded extra WI-Fi hop ( halving the available speed etc etc )
and gives the illusion that all is well because your devices show a strong Wi-Fi signal.

  • What sort of voodoo magic makes you think placing a pod (WiFi repeater) in an area of bad coverage would improve the signal strength?

  • Hi VdiKK

    Welcome to the community forums.

Sorry to hear you're having WiFi issues.

With the pods, you'll need to place them in a mains socket, out in the open and away from other devices that might interfere with the signal such as TV's, Bluetooth devices and other radio waves. The pod will need to be placed in an area with a good strong signal somewhere between the router and the area with the poor signal so it can boost the strong signal further. Try repositioning the pod around the home to see if this improves the signal in the area where you need the improved signal.

Keep us posted on how you get on, we'll be here to support further should you need.
